JULIE HOBSON
Julie is a sixth-generation farmer and has a deep passion for farming.
In 2014 she left the corporate world and returned to her farming roots to head up the KAROO RANCHING Group.
In addition to offering first class guest experiences, under her leadership KAROO RANCHING has opened various retail stores that champion natural fibres and South African agricultural products.
KAROO RANCHING Productions was also established in 2016 and hosts the KAROO RANCHING Filming Festival every year, with the aim of telling positive and uplifting stories about South African agriculture.

Sean is also a sixth-generation farmer, who currently heads up the oldest
Angora goat stud in the world, Martyrsford Angora Stud, established in 1871.
Sean is part owner of KAROO RANCHING and plays a fundamental role in the running of the business.

Together, he and Julie personally host guests at Elandkloof during their ranching season, which runs from April to September every year.

They are both passionate about sharing their life on the farm with others and encouraging them to live their dreams.

They are joined by their young son William, who is equally passionate about farming.
