ABOUT:

These shawls are made from 100% young goat mohair that has been ethically & sustainably sourced and farmed in the Karoo, the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

Mohair comes from angora goats and is a 100% natural fibre, making it the perfect sustainable fashion fibre.

Angora goats are shorn every 6 months to avoid them getting stuck in the natural vegetation they graze in.

Instead of discarding their fleeces, their fleeces are made into beautiful garments by local ladies in the area.

By buying one of these shawls you are supporting sustainable and ethical fashion.

Mohair is 100% biodegradable and will not clog landfills.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Unless it is very dirty, your mohair item only needs to be aired after wearing. If something has spilt on it, HAND WASH in lukewarm water ONLY, with a gentle detergent. FLAT DRY on a towel. NEVER place it in a washing machine or dryer, it will shrink.

We go to town once a week, so kindly expect 7 - 10 days for delivery to occur in South Africa.
